Update, 5:54 p.m. — Dayton has just beaten Charlotte, 76-53. That means Dayton and Temple will battle tomorrow for a trip to the Championship game, but more importantly for GW, it means that game time is soon. There doesn’t appear to be an official start time, but it just looks like the A-10 is going to get this game going as soon as it can.
Update, 4:06 p.m. — The Dayton/Charlotte game just began a few minutes ago, so it seems near impossible that GW would tip off against Rhode Island at 5:30. Hatchet staff writer Dan Greene is with GW Spirit right now, and said the cheer program just had a team sendoff at their hotel, so it looks like the Colonials aren’t even at the gym right now. Temple beat Richmond 70-62 in today’s only complete game.
WRGW’S Adam Rosenbloom told me that play was pushed back at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse at Saint Joe’s because the roof began to leak this morning. The tournament’s first game between Temple and Richmond, which was scheduled to begin at noon, did not stop until 1:30. The A-10 website says that GW’s game, originally set for 4 p.m., will begin around 5:30.
