At 5 p.m. tonight, Coach Karl Hobbs and his GW men’s basketball team will take the court and try to make you believe that they are opening practice to the common folk. Actually, as I said on the blog last year, this performance is likely to put Hobbs up for an Oscar. What goes on in the Smith Center tonight will be NOTHING like a normal practice. But it should be fun anyway.
Andrew Alberg and I were at practice yesterday and spoke to Hobbs, Carl Elliott and Maureece Rice about the A-10 ranking, Cheyenne Moore and the upcoming season. Hobbs was not too keen on my question about Georgetown and George Mason getting a lot of media attention. He told me he must have missed it because he’s read the Washington Post all week.
