A senior Athletic Department official confirmed that the GW men’s basketball team is planning to red shirt senior Dokun Akingbade for the 2005-2006 season. But now with senior Pops Mensah-Bonsu’s injury, the plan may be foiled. The official said Mensah-Bonsu is getting x-rays on his injured ankle tomorrow and the severity of the injury will dictate coach Karl Hobbs’ decision.
