Jon Stewart is coming to GW.
The anchor of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” will bring his news-mocking monologues to Friday’s edition of CNN’s “Crossfire,” which is filmed in GW’s Jack Morton Auditorium.
Heather Clapp-Date, a programming coordinator for GW, confirmed that Stewart would be appearing on the Friday show, which will be attended by a booked audience comprised of students, parents and alumni in town for Colonials Weekend.
“We’ve been booked for Colonials Weekend for quite a while,” Clapp-Date said.
Students can go to the “Crossfire” box office in the School of Media and Public Affairs building to put their names on a wait list a half-hour before the show, which starts at 4:30 p.m. They can also catch Stewart at Politics and Prose, a bookstore at 5015 Connecticut Ave. where he will be signing copies of his new book, of “America (The Book): A Citizen’s Guide to Democracy Inaction” Friday at 1 p.m.
