The Hatchet is on the lookout for an assistant copy editor.
If you’re a stickler for proper grammar and have a taste for good writing, you’re probably a natural.
Prior journalism experience is not required, and the spot is open to undergraduate or graduate students of any field of study.
As a copy editor, yours will be the last pair of eyes before The Hatchet’s articles are published for thousands of readers every day. Your feedback will help shape news, features, opinions and sports stories for an award-winning, student-run newspaper, so we’re seeking dedicated team players to take the position.
Working for The Hatchet also plugs you into a vast alumni network. Past Hatchet staff now work at news outlets like The Hill, Politico and The Washington Post.
If that entices you as much as good grammar, email [email protected] by 11:59 p.m. Monday, March 30 to apply. Attach a copy of your résumé, and we’ll follow up with you shortly.
