We’re hiring ambitious and artistic GW students who have layout skills and ambitions to make every news page beautiful. Extensive experience not required – just an enthusiasm to learn design and embrace newsroom collaboration. If you worked on design for your high school yearbook, literary magazine or newspaper, make The Hatchet your next creative outlet.

In this unpaid position, you’d jump on board a small team already doing some of the bolder print designs in college media. Blogs on news design and college media have written about our print redesign, which launched in September.
