Sophomore Ugur Atalay and junior Erik Hannah have been voted the 29th-best men’s tennis pairing in the nation in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Jan. 5 poll, putting them in the national rankings to begin the spring season.

The duo reached the men’s doubles final at the University of Virginia Invitational in mid-September, where they lost to the host’s fifth-ranked team of Houston Barrick and Sanam Singh.

The GW men’s tennis team will return to action Jan. 16 at Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va. to begin a stretch of nine road dates before hosting their first competition of the spring March 9 against Charlotte.
