The Hatchet staff put out its seventh issue of the year today, and I want to take a second to talk about a special feature we had in today’s paper – The Nightlife Guide.

In past years, we’ve put out a special section in the paper that focused on the top bars and clubs that GW students frequent. This year, though, we kept that feature a little more succinct, put it on two pages in our main section, and I’m very happy with the way it came out.

Life Editors Hadas Gold, Max McGowen and Miranda Green have mapped out your potential evening, night and next morning, and Production Managers Erica Steinberg and Rachel Lee put together a tight and eye-catching design. Never to be out done, Web Director Andy Nacin took our print product and adapted it well to an easy-to-use Web interface.

These are the kinds of projects we hope you take note of, and we want to continue in the future. The Hatchet serves the you, the students. What other student-friendly features or stories do you want to see in the campus newspaper?
