Call Your Mother, a Jewish-inspired bagel shop, will open its second location in Georgetown, DCist reported Thursday.
Less than a year after the neighborhood bagel shop debuted its first storefront at 3301 Georgia Ave. NW, the shop will expand to 3428 O St. NW, which previously housed GreenWorks Florist. Details about its opening date and decorations inside the new shop are still in its planning stages, Call Your Mother owner Andrew Dana told DCist.
The shop could be found serving loaded bagel sandwiches at local farmers markets before its first location opened in October, but the bagels often sold out in about an hour. The shop’s owners purchased the Park View store to satisfy their growing customer base and is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every day.
The bagels have been likened to New York tri-state area bagels – a tough standard to live up to. Call Your Mother also serves Jewish classics like latkes and candied salmon spreads.
