Women’s basketball sophomore guard Nya Robertson entered the transfer portal Tuesday, according to The Next blog.

Robertson, the fourth member of the 2023-24 roster to announce their intent to transfer, averaged 16.2 points per game this season and played a career-high of 862 minutes. The Revs face the loss of a high-scorer who led the team’s offense as the Revs struggled in non-conference and conference play this past season.

Robertson recorded 14.4 points per game in the 2022-23 season, earning the 2022-23 Atlantic 10 Sixth Woman of the Year title and became a member of the A-10 All-Rookie Team.

The Fort Worth, Texas, native appeared in 28 of the team’s 31 games this season — only missing one game in December and three games in January — and recorded a career high in points in a game against St. Bonaventure in January of this past season, scoring 31 points.

Robertson’s entrance to the transfer portal is the fourth of the offseason, joining Asjah Inniss, Jaylin Hartman and Monica Marsh as the departing players. Only Hartman has announced a commitment to a school for the upcoming season, announcing her transfer to the University of Buffalo on March 28 after entering the portal right after the season concluded.

Robertson earned All-Conference Third Team honors this past season for her efforts, including finishing fourth in the conference in scoring. She was the only member of the Revs to be named to a conference team in the 2023-24 season.

Robertson arrived to GW in fall 2022 as the No. 37 ranked overall recruit, and No. 8 ranked guard, according to the Collegiate Girls Basketball Report from 2021.
