We might be far away from each other, but it’s more important than ever to stay connected.
The Hatchet created a form that students, faculty, administrators, alumni and other community members can complete to air concerns or share personal experiences about the pandemic. You have the option to submit an op-ed or share your story with our editors.
If you submit an op-ed, your piece would be sent to The Hatchet’s opinion section and reviewed by three editors – the opinions editor, the contributing opinions editor and me. This past year, the community has weighed in on the University’s planned enrollment cut, racism on campus and GW’s strategic plan through submitted op-ed pieces.
If you submit a general comment, you can expect to hear back from an editor to talk more about your submission for a potential story. Listening to your experiences allows us to better understand the impact of the crisis on the GW community and ultimately helps us ensure we are accurately covering University-wide issues during the pandemic.
Whether you are caring for loved ones or older neighbors, worried about the status of your job or housing situation, missed out on senior year or study abroad program, we want to hear from you. If you have the time, please share your story. You can reach us here with any questions.
