Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested a woman at the GW Hospital for refusing to leave the emergency room Monday, according to an MPD report.

At about 1:30 p.m. a special police officer at GW Hospital reported to MPD that Marie Valentine, a discharged patient, declined to leave the emergency room, the report states. The officers told Valentine multiple times that she needed to leave hospital property, according to the report.

MPD officers arrested Valentine for unlawful entry and transported her to the Second District police station for processing, the report states.
