Liquor Law Violation/Disorderly Conduct

Case closed
University Police Department officers were flagged down to assist a severely intoxicated student. During an assessment, a friend shouted and cursed at officers, threatened to sue them and resisted their assistance. The intoxicated student was taken to the emergency room.

23rd Street and Washington Circle

Case closed
UPD observed an intoxicated man, who was unaffiliated with the University, urinating in public. He was assessed but refused treatment.

Attempted Theft/Unlawful Entry

Case closed
UPD apprehended three men with a pickup truck in the loading dock area who were going through scrap metal. When confronted, the men claimed to have permission to take the material. One of the men was arrested for unlawful entry because he had previously been barred from campus. The two other men were barred from campus.
– Subject arrested, subjects barred

Simple Assault

21st and H streets

A student reported that another student punched him after a verbal argument. When the other student was located, he claimed that the first student started the fight. The students declined to press charges against one another.

10/1/13 – 4:40 to 6 p.m.
Case closed
A homeless man told officers that he had been assaulted by two men following a verbal argument at Miriam’s Kitchen.

Case closed
UPD responded to a noise complaint and saw drug paraphernalia in plain view. Alcohol and 3.2 grams of marijuana were confiscated.
