Men’s golf senior Andres Pumariega is the Atlantic 10 Co-Performer of the Week, after he earned a share of the Kiawah Classic Championship last week on Kiawah Island, S.C.
It’s the third league honor for Pumariega, who was twice named Performer of the Week last season. He shares the award with Charlotte’s Paul Ferrier.
Pumariega posted a three-round total of 2-under 214 with scores of 70, 71 and 73 , capturing his fourth career tournament victory as a member of the Colonials. He erased a one-stroke difference in the final round en route to earning co-champion honors, helping guide GW to a fifth place finish in the 21-team field at the Kiawah Classic.
The championships wrapped up fall play for Pumariega and the Colonials, who will return to action in March 2012.
