Alpha Delta Pi wins Elizabeth Moselay Coles Award
GW’s Alpha Delta Pi Greek-letter organization received the Elizabeth Moseley Coles Award, one of only six that were given out to Alpha Delta Pi chapters nationwide.
This award, named in honor of the first president of Alpha Delta Pi after it became a national sorority, is given to the chapter that best exemplifies spirit, loyalty and sisterhood, according to the chapter. In addition, the chapter must show active participation in campus events and Alpha Delta Pi events.
“Last year, we raised several thousand dollars with our fall charity event, ‘Jail & Bail,’ and our spring event, ‘Lion’s Share Challenge,'” Alpha Delta Pi President Kate Roche said. “We were recognized for our philanthropic work and our commitment to our sisters.”
The chapter will host this year’s annual “Jail & Bail” event on November 8 in Kogan Plaza from 12 to 5 p.m.
