Freshman Mike Phillips made a presidential-like debut Monday in President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign video.
Phillips said the future president’s “energy” inspired him during the 2008 presidential election, and while he couldn’t cast a vote for Obama then, he is excited to do so in 2012.
The clip, which was filmed in Phillips’ room on the Mount Vernon Campus, appears at 0:34 on the video.
The two-minute video appears on the home screen of barackobama.com.
Phillips didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
