Former GW baseball player Tom Zebroski was named to the Louisville Slugger All-American third-team on Friday, making him the third Colonial in the past four years to earn the honor.
Zebroski, who was also named Atlantic 10 student athlete of the year and A-10 baseball player of the year, led the conference in batting average (.429), hits (103), runs scored (75), home runs (18), total bases (176) and slugging percentage (.733) from the lead-off spot this past season.
The Colonials’ shortstop also managed to etch his name into the GW record books this past season when he surpassed former all-time hits record holder Mike Bassett’s total of 290 on May 15.
