A pedestrian who was struck by a car in Georgetown last month died from his injuries April 3, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release.
Damon Pearson, 59, was hit at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and M Street around 9:30 p.m. March 30.
According to the release, the driver of a Volkswagen Passat station wagon traveling north on Wisconsin Avenue attempted to turn left onto westbound M Street when they collided with Pearson.
Pearson, who had no fixed address, was transported to GW Hospital and admitted in grave condition. He was transferred to Washington Hospital Center for treatment, but was pronounced dead the afternoon of April 3, the release states.
The car’s driver was not injured, and the accident is now being investigated by MPD’s Major Crash Investigations Unit.
Pearson died just a few days before a woman died after being hit by an SUV on Washington Circle April 6.
