With finals drawing to a close, commencement just keeps getting closer.
- Whether you’re eager to leave or desperate for a few more days as an undergrad, SAC has a list of ten things to do around the city to commemorate the past four years in the District. Events will also be held until Sunday as part of Grad Week.
- The Black Cat will be presenting its monthly KICKS! on Friday. Considered a “more user-friendly DJ night” by the Washington Post, DJs Kim and Sara will be presenting an array of music for free.
- Busboys & Poets will be holding a competitive poetry slam event on Friday where the audience chooses the winner. Admission is $5.
And here’s some good news:
- DCist offers congratulations to the winners of the Annual Larry Neal Writers’ Award and also offers samples of the winning poetry. The ceremony was held on Friday and honors local writers of all ages.
