Here’s what’s happening this weekend:
Foggy Bottom fanfare:
- Go watch the eight best Bhangra teams in the U.S. and Canada compete in the “Elite 8 Invitational” Feb. 27 at Lisner Auditorium. Unfortunately, GW Bhangra does not have a team in the show. Tickets are $25.
- The West End Library will be holding a half-priced used book sale Feb. 27, from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. The majority of book prices will range from 25 cents to $2.50.
- Generic Theatre Company is staging “Dangerous Liaisons,” the classic drama that inspired the movie “Cruel Intentions,” this weekend at the Lisner Downstage. Tickets are $5.
District Must-dos:
- D.C. band U.S. Royalty is playing at the Rock and Roll Hotel Feb. 26. With Phil Adé and Poor But Sexy. Tickets are $12.
- The 24th annual Wammies – an awards show that celebrates the best in D.C. music – is at at The State Theatre Feb. 28. Tickets are $35.
- Get your fill of Britpop at the Black Cat Feb. 27; the club is hosting “Bliss,” one of its famous dance nights.
