Every week The Hatchet will be post its an excerpt from its own “Bucket List” – things our staff thinks every student at GW should accomplish in the four years before they graduate. See if you can also cross them all off your list.
Three Items you can mark off your list in this chilly weather:
1. Visit a Smithsonian Museum
There are 17 different museums to choose from and most are conveniently located along the National Mall. Museum choices range from the traditional, The National Portrait Gallery, to the obscure, The Postal Museum. Without a doubt, you will find something that fits your interests.
2. Get a Strike at the Hippodrome
As one of the only public bowling alleys in D.C., GW’s own Hippodrome is a citywide destination. Luckily for students, the alley is located only a short walk away. Games cost $3.50 per person with GWorld and no reservation is necessary. Don’t forget to grab some wings at WOW on your way out.
3. Attend a performance at The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage
Offering free performances every night, the Millennium Stage, located in the foyer of The Kennedy Center, is a great experience. Shows range from symphonies to theatre productions. Check out the Web site for a full listing of each night’s event.
