Fashionistas of the Week is a new weekly post featuring the three best dressed students on campus spotted by our fashion writer. Keep your eyes open for a reporter and photographer walking around because you might be chosen as the latest trendsetter.
This post was written by Hatchet Fashion Columnist Hallie Mindell.
Easing back into campus life, the casual yet put together looks of these students doesn’t take much even with their fully loaded and sometimes hectic schedules. There might be new classes and new faces but they have the same great style.
Dane Krizek, a senior from Kansas
Looking extremely stylish, Dane pairs WRL jeans with a plaid shirt from a “pop up” store in New York and layers the shirt under a grey sweater. He completes his look with vintage boots and Ray Bans. Dane likes to shop at online boutiques and looks to James Dean and Steve McQueen for fashion inspiration.
Natalie Schwartz, a freshman from New York City
Natalie’s outfit is the perfect mix of street chic. She pairs a vintage leather jacket with a black sweater, leggings and Creative Recreation high tops. She pulls the look together with a white scarf and a pair of Ray Bans. Natalie likes to shop at Barney’s, vintage stores in L.A. and Bergdorf Goodman’s. Sienna Miller is her top fashion inspiration.
Alexa Ginsberg, a sophomore from Cherry Hill, New Jersey
Alexa is wearing head to toe Zara, from her black asymmetrical jacket, to her loose black faded tee, down to her distressed skinny jeans. She ties the whole look together with a pair of nude Steve Madden ballet flats. Alexa loves to shop at Urban Outfitters, Intermix, thrift stores and of course Zara. When it comes to fashion inspiration, she says she looks to her sister.
