ATLANTIC CITY, March 8– The GW men’s basketball team’s season is not over. The Colonials beat Saint Joseph’s 58-48 behind 16 points from junior Maureece Rice. Senior Carl Elliott had 15 and sophomore Rob Diggs had 13. The Colonials had 20 turnovers and shot 43.5 percent from the floor compared to 24.4 for the Hawks. The Colonials will play St. Louis tomorrow night at 9 p.m. here at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
Saint Joseph’s got a game-high from Ahmad Nivins. Nivins made only two field goals but had 14 points from the line. Darrin Govens had 10 points and was the only other Saint Joseph’s player in double figures.
