… and on that note, one of Vice President Joe Biden’s secret service cars struck and killed a pedestrian in Maryland this morning. The cars were heading back to the garage, the Washington Examiner reported.

Finally, wheelchair accessible cabs will come into service in December. None of the “current 6,500 taxis are equipped with a wheelchair ramp or lift,” The Washington Post reports.

John Allen Muhammad, better known as the D.C. Sniper who terrorized District residents for a few scary weeks in 2002, was executed last night.   Muhammad, along with Lee Boyd Malvo, killed 10 people in October of 2002, as they participated in mundane activities. The Washington Post reports that Muhammad requested a last meal but asked the menu not be made public, and showed “no emotion in the death chamber.”
