The University received a $134,000 grant Friday from the Ethics and Excellence in Journalism Foundation for the 2009-2010 series of the Kalb Report.
The Kalb Report, an award-winning series moderated by journalist Marvin Kalb, is dedicated to the discussion of press, politics and public policy, and has been the recipient of grants from the foundation since 2004. This year’s grant marks a jump in funds; the program received $80,000 per season until 2006, and $88,000 for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 series, according to the foundation’s Web site.
The money will underwrite four forums of the show, which is held at the National Press Club. The program is jointly produced through GW, Harvard University and the National Press Club.
