It’s getting chilly, the Atlantic 10’s media day in Atlantic City, N.J. is only weeks away and basketball previews are popping up on newsstands around the city. It only seems like weeks ago that I was driving back from Greensboro, N.C., with the DC Bogster himself but already college basketball season is around the corner.
The D.C. area is shaping up to be a pretty insane basketball hotbed. The media is already starting to descend on George Mason and Georgetown but where is GW in all of this talk? Does GW have what it takes to get too the post season for the third season in a row? Mike Hall told Hatchet Staff Writer Andrew Alberg that Maureece Rice and Carl Elliott will both average 20 points. Probable? Possible? Can Regis Koundjia step into a major role? Lots and lots of question marks.
With the start of the GW regular season only 28 days away, we are starting to get antsy up here in 2140 G Street. The plans for our basketball preview are beginning to come together. Our flights are booked for Boston on Nov. 10 and we’re looking forward to a great season.
