Every time I see the list of verboten items for GW rooms, I always wonder, how stupid can people possibly be? Are George Foreman grills really all that dangerous? We’re all adults here, how can someone get hurt or start a fire with some incense? Then, while reading my newspaper from back home in New Hampshire, I got my answer.
I always thought it was common sense to let fry oil cool down before teetering above it to clean an exhaust hood. I guess I was wrong. Now I can see why it is probably best to keep those Foreman grills out of some residence halls.
