George Brunner, a self-proclaimed Student Association outsider, announced early Wednesday morning that he will run for SA president.
Brunner, the fourth candidate to announce, is the Co-Founder of GW Vets.
In a press release, Brunner said he is “the real candidate for change.”
“The current SA members running for the position of President have been part of the leadership group for at least the past couple of years and they have failed to enact the change that the student body expects and deserves,” Brunner wrote in a press release. “A number of these candidates proclaim they will change the SA and take it back for the students by advocating more for them. Yet, as their years of SA service has proven, they have thus far been unsuccessful. There needs to be new blood in the SA, and I believe I can best represent the student body.”
In the press release, Brunner said he will advocate for small, attainable changes to “increase the quality of life of students.”
Elections are scheduled to take place Feb. 25 and 26.
