Dates for this year’s Student Association elections were set Monday night at the Joint Elections Committee meeting.

Candidate registration begins Feb. 9 and closes Feb. 13, according to Patrick Rizk, chair of the JEC, the body that oversees the election process.

Rizk added that candidates may begin campaigning on Feb. 19.

The general election will be held Feb. 25 and Feb. 26. 

If no candidate receives more than 40 percent of the vote during the general election period, a runoff will be held on March 11 and March 12.

At this time, there have been no formal announcements of candidacy.
