GW is offering new travel services on campus, according to a University release Monday.
GW replaced Zipcar, a car sharing service that allows members to rent cars at an hourly rate, with another service called Enterprise Car Share. GW advertised that faculty, staff and students over 18 can join the program until Aug. 31 without having to pay the application fee or the first year’s membership fee.
Until Sept. 30, renting economy and standard cars will be $5 per hour instead of the regular $7 hourly fee.
The Office of Procurement and Travel Service also announced today that Hotels.com has been added to the GW Hotel program, which is a discount hotel reservation service for universities. Reservations through the program can be made without cancellation fees or charges for changing the reservation, according to the release.
The hotel program will also accept P-Card, a credit card issued by the University to GW employees to conduct GW businesses and purchase “small dollar” items for the University’s use.
