Seniors interested in attending graduate school could receive a 10 percent reduction in tuition if they choose to enroll in a program based in nine of GW’s colleges.

The Grad2Grad program, which the University unveiled this week, offers graduating seniors an extended deadline to apply to dozens of master’s or graduate-certificate programs for free. GW is also waiving standardized tests, such as the GRE, for students applying to most programs.

The announcement comes as GW has struggled to reach its revenue projections because of dwindling interest in graduate programs. Fewer students nationally have shown interest in graduate school since the economy began to rebound.

Kristin Williams, the associate provost for graduate enrollment, said her office does not have a goal for enrolling a certain number of GW students in graduate programs next year.

“The program highlights many different post-baccalaureate programs as an option for students to consider as they graduate and look toward their immediate personal and professional goals,” she said in an email.

The tuition discount will be available to students who will start a graduate program this summer, in the fall or next spring. Students who have already applied to a participating program or who are part of a dual-degree program are also eligible for the tuition discount.

Students can attend an information session about the Grad2Grad program on March 18.
