The Corcoran College of Art + Design’s historic Georgetown building can be yours – for $14 million.
TTR Sotheby’s International Realty will be the listing agent in charge of selling the Fillmore property, and the proceeds will go toward renovations of the Corcoran’s 17th Street building, the University announced Wednesday.
Purchase offers for the Fillmore building, which is located on 35th Street, are expected to start in April, according to a GW release. Classes will continue to be held in the more than 54,000-square-foot building through the semester.
The University has already allocated about $35 million to the first phase of renovations to the Corcoran’s 17th Street building. Complete renovation costs will likely total about $80 million. A Feb. 26 meeting with the D.C. Historic Preservation Board could designate portions of that property as historic.
