Ward 3 Council member and GW Law School professor Mary Cheh was re-elected by a landslide Tuesday night, winning more than 87 percent of the vote, the Washington Post projected.
Ryan Sabot, a Libertarian candidate, had challenged the Democrat.
Cheh, who has taught at GW for more than 30 years, is the chair of the Council’s Committee on Transportation and the Environment. She pushed for a bill that would protect Uber’s operations in the District last year.
