GW students will have a chance to learn from Bill Nye the Science Guy this month.
Nye will speak at Lisner Auditorium on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. Students can purchase tickets for $35, which come with a copy of Nye’s new book, “Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation,” that he will sign.
The scientist, known for his 1990s television program, launched a campaign this year to spread awareness of evolutionary theory. At Lisner, he’ll argue that creationism is harmful to children’s learning, as well as talk about his favorite memories from “Bill Nye the Science Guy.”
The event will be presented by The Smithsonian Associates, and costs $40 for general admission and a copy of the book.
