Enthusiasm at the College Democrats watch party increased as key battleground states such as Pennsylvania and Ohio were called in favor of Sen. Barack Obama.
Pennsylvania native Ryan Gever said winning his home state is an encouraging sign for Obama.
“I am stoked. I am so excited that I made a good choice,” Gever said. “The possibility that I am running to the White House tonight is definitely increased.”
Winning battleground states early in the evening is an excellent sign for the Obama campaign, junior Rick Sundeen said.
Senior Charles Tong said, “The campaigning is over, and I feel like I have been watching a lot of previews, and now the main feature is here.”
