GW was shut out Wednesday of a list of global universities that employers said produced the best graduates.
The 2012 Global Employability Survey included nine of the 14 schools GW calls its peers, like Boston, New York and Georgetown universities, on its list of 150 top schools.
The survey, conducted by the French consulting firm Emerging and German research institute Trendence, asked more than 2,500 recruiters and 2,200 international chief executives to name universities they think produce the most employable graduates.
Top U.S. universities, like Harvard, Yale and Stanford, held top spots on the list with Asian schools like Peking University and Tokyo Institute of Technology also included.
GW was absent from the list last year, too.
Employers cited ability to work in a team and adaptability as top traits desired in employees.
GW also fell 33 spots earlier this month in the Times of Higher Education’s global university ranking – a small blow to GW’s ambitions to become a school with international clout.
