Atlantic 10 officials released the women’s basketball 2024-25 conference schedule Wednesday.
GW opens conference play with the Revolutionary Rivalry against George Mason at the Smith Center on Dec. 3. The matchup begins an 18-game conference slate that concludes with the A-10 Tournament in Henrico, Virginia starting on March 5.
The Revolutionaries finished 10th in the A-10 last season with a 6-12 conference record and a 13-18 overall record. Their season ended in the A-10 Tournament with a 75-68 loss to Saint Louis that saw the team go 24-62 from the field and only 11-17 from the free throw line.
After concluding the rest of their out-of-conference matchups on Dec. 21 against the Hampton University Pirates, the Revs will return to A-10 play with a visit to Philadelphia to take on La Salle on Dec. 29. Last season, the Explorers finished with a 5-13 record in the conference and an 8-22 overall record.
To start the new year, the Revs host Loyola Chicago on Jan. 5. The Ramblers concluded last season with an 8-10 A-10 record that coincided with a 15-16 overall record. Since the Ramblers joined the A-10 in 2022, the Revs have a 3-0 record against the team.
GW travels to Saint Louis on Jan. 15 to take on the Billikens in a rematch of the seventh seed versus 10th seed matchup in the tournament last season. Saint Louis finished 2023-24 with an 8-9 conference record and a 22-18 record overall. The Revs return home on Jan. 22 to the Smith Center for a game against VCU, who ended league play tied for second with a 15-3 record.
To conclude the month, the Revs visit Massachusetts on Jan. 29 for a battle with the Minutemen. UMass finished with a 2-16 record in A-10 play last season. The Revs begin February with a home game against St. Joseph’s, who finished second in the conference with a 15-3 record and a 28-6 record overall.
On Feb. 19 the Revs will travel to Richmond to take on the reigning A-10 champion Spiders. Richmond went 16-2 in league play and defeated Rhode Island 65-51 to win the A-10. The Spiders were eliminated in the first round by the Duke Blue Devils 72-61 in the 2024 NCAA tournament.
The Revs conclude the month with their final two home games, starting with Davidson at the Smith Center on Feb. 23. The Wildcats and Revs are in a 6-6 deadlock in terms of head-to-head record, making this matchup the tiebreaker between the two teams. Last season, the Wildcats canceled the remainder of their games due to a mass number of injuries. Davidson was 8-7 in the conference before ending their season.
The final home game of the season for GW comes against UMass on Feb. 26.
The season concludes on March 1 with a visit to Rhode Island to take on the Rams. The Revs have lost four straight games to the Rams, with their last win coming back in 2020.
Last season GW played the majority of their games on ESPN+, with five games being televised on Monumental Sports. Times and broadcast schedules for the 2024-25 season will be announced soon, according to a release.
