Spring Fling, featuring indie-pop artist Maude Latour, will move to the first floor of the University Student Center amid a chance of thunderstorms in D.C., according to an Instagram story Program Board posted just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Brian Joyce, the assistant dean of student life, said the show will take place indoors at Columbian Square across from Panera Bread at 6 p.m. Latour’s performance at Spring Fling, an annual live music festival on campus, was originally slated to occur in Potomac Square at 6:30 p.m.
Columbian Square will be the smallest venue to host Spring Fling in more than a decade, with prior performances set in University Yard and the Smith Center. Latour is also the first artist of her genre to perform at Spring Fling in more than a decade, with DJs, hip-hop artists and rappers – including Swae Lee, Macklemore and Lil Yachty – headlining previous shows.
