The director of student support and family engagement departed GW two months ago to take a position at Pomona College.
Tracy Arwari, a Graduate School of Education and Human Development alumna, left her position as the head of the Office of Enrollment and the Student Experience’s department dedicated to supporting parents and families on July 26. Arwari joined Pomona as the school’s senior dean of students for academic and personal success on Aug. 1, The Student Life – a newspaper that serves the Claremont Colleges, including Pomona – reported in July.
Arwari joined GW in 2013 as the case manager for the CARE Network, a University-led system that offers support to students on issues like academics, substance use and mental health. GW’s websites still list Arwari as the leader of the Office of Student Support and Family Engagement.

In the headline, The Hatchet reported that the head of the Office for Student Success departed. An administrator within the office left, but not the leader. We regret this error.
