D.C. residents can now rent Capital Bikeshare bicycles using the Lyft app.
Lyft users can find available bikes through the app, pay for bike rentals using their Lyft account and link their Capital Bikeshare memberships to the app, DCist reported Friday. Lyft acquired the bike rental service’s parent company, Motivate, last year and the District is among the first few cities in the United States to have its fleet of docked bikes integrated into Lyft’s app, DCist reported.
Users may need to update the Lyft app to use the Capital Bikeshare feature.
