North Italia, an Italian restaurant with handmade pasta and pizza, will open its first D.C. location in Foggy Bottom next month.
The restaurant is slated to open at 2112 Pennsylvania Ave. NW Feb. 27. North Italia will offer brunch, lunch and dinner from a menu that will feature seasonal ingredients and Italian classics.
The menu will serve a daily selection of soup and charcuterie, seasonal salads and pasta made from scratch daily. On North Italia’s drink menu, customers will find house-made cocktails, wine and local craft beers.
North Italia’s menu has smaller, sharable options like the chef’s board with prosciutto, marinated eggplant and almonds. For larger entrees, the restaurant will serve dishes like grilled branzino with cipollini onion and fennel and prosciutto pizza with goat cheese, arugula and mission fig.
The 6,750-square-foot restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Brunch will be offered between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. With a dining room, bar and patio, the space holds up to 233 guests.
The Foggy Bottom location for North Italia will be the 17th restaurant of the franchise and the first in the District.
The restaurant is run by Fox Restaurant Concepts, a Phoenix-based restaurant group that runs brands like Zinburger and Flower Child. Flower Child will open its first D.C. location next door Monday.
In addition to the Foggy Bottom location, North Italia will also open in Reston, Va. and McLean, Va. this year.
