“My Party Will Go On” at National Geographic Museum
In conjunction with the new exhibit “Titanic: The Untold Story,” celebrate at the National Geographic Museum for the ’90s party of a lifetime. Co-sponsored by Brightest Young Things, the event will feature food trucks, cocktails and beer supplied by Old Bust Head Brewing Company, and lightning talks with museum experts and oceanographers about the unsinkable ship. D.C. drag queens will light up the night with some retro lip syncs, and ‘90s cover band White Ford Bronco will belt your favorite throwbacks in an ode to the decade the film was made. Come dressed appropriately to the era, and you can get “drawn like one of your French girls” by a resident caricaturist.

Reese Witherspoon at The Anthem
Whether you are a lifelong “Legally Blonde” fan or just hopped on the “Big Little Lies” train, this book talk will be your cup of tea. Reese Witherspoon, an Oscar- and Emmy-winning actress, is kicking off her first book tour here in the District. Witherspoon will discuss her new book, titled “Whiskey in a Tea Cup,” released Wednesday with fellow “Big Little Lies” actress Zoe Kravitz. Most people know The Anthem for its intimate music shows, but sit back and relax as two members of Hollywood royalty discuss their HBO hit show, careers and personal lives.

Taste of Georgetown
Every foodie’s dream comes to life this Sunday at Taste of Georgetown, which features more than 30 of the neighborhood’s best restaurants and eateries. Guests can stroll and sample food from each establishment’s booth, including Baked & Wired and Clyde’s of Georgetown. Instead of paper money, guests use tickets to purchase food and drinks. One taste ticket is good for one food item, one beer or wine, or two waters or soft drinks. Discounted tickets can be purchased in advance on the event’s website, and regular priced tickets are available at the door. The food festival is celebrating its 25th year and proceeds will go to the Georgetown Ministry Center, which supports the homeless around D.C.
Entrances located on the corners of K and Thomas Jefferson streets NW, K Street and Wisconsin Avenue NW, and between K and 31st streets NW. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets $11 to $44.
