Celebrate the end of the school year and lose yourself in the trendy and dynamic beats when The Chainsmokers come to Maryland this weekend. The EDM DJ duo are making a stop on their 2017 Memories Tour, and bringing along special guests like Kiiara, Lost Frequencies and Emily Warren. Sing along to hits like “Paris” and “Something Just Like This” with Andrew and Alex, and start your summer off on the right track.

Kennedy Center Open House: Celebrating JFK at 100
Celebrate John F. Kennedy’s 100th birthday by attending a free festival at the former-president’s namesake, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The daylong celebration will feature performances by spoken word artists, dance groups and local bands and orchestras. In addition to the performances taking place on multiple stages, and even the roof, at the Kennedy Center, there will also be a market selling goods from local vendors and a special exhibition of an original charcoal sketch of the former president from the 1960s by Elaine de Kooning.

National Memorial Day Concert
Grab a spot on the Capitol Building’s West Lawn and enjoy a night of star-studded performances. The annual free concert is hosted by actors Joe Mantegna, from the show Criminal Minds, and Laurence Fishburne, who stars in the show Black-ish. The event will feature everything from speeches by General Colin Powell to performances by singer and actress Vanessa Williams and country star Scotty McCreery. The National Symphony Orchestra will also perform to add some patriotic tunes to this night in honor of all U.S. service men and women. Your family can tune into the live broadcast of the concert on PBS while you enjoy the night under the stars on the Capitol lawn.
