Tonic Restaurant will give out free pancakes and coffee to anyone with a valid GWID Thursday morning to celebrate their 10-year anniversary of dishing out tater tots to the GW and Foggy Bottom communities.
The restaurant will be flipping pancakes and pouring coffee for students and faculty until 10 a.m. and you must show your GWorld card to receive the free breakfast.
“The George Washington University has been a pivotal part of Tonic’s success and growth, and we want to show our gratitude,” a representative from Tonic said to EaterDC.
The event is part of the #TonicTurnsTen campaign which has the restaurant offering an extended happy hour this week and an anniversary party Saturday, according to a release.
The restaurant is hosting extended happy hours from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. the week of May 1.
The anniversary week will conclude with a party on their outdoor patio, featuring free tater tots from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and complimentary Miller Pony High Life beer at 7 p.m. for the anniversary toast.
Tonic first opened on campus in May 2007 in the former Quigley’s Pharmacy building.
