Men’s basketball has accepted a bid to the College Basketball Invitational, the team announced Sunday.
The Colonials (19-14) will host their first-round matchup against Toledo (17-16) of the Mid-Atlantic Conference Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The CBI invitation follows a quarterfinal exit from the Atlantic 10 Championship Friday, and comes one year after GW won the 2016 National Invitation Tournament.
The program will try for its fourth consecutive 20-win season in a 16-team field that also includes Loyola (Md.), Hampton, Coastal Carolina, Stony Brook, UIC, Eastern Washington, Wyoming, Green Bay, UMKC, San Francisco, Rice, Utah Valley, Georgia Southern and local Atlantic 10 rival George Mason.
