A student was arrested for possession with intent to distribute in Thurston Hall last week after an administrative search of his room turned up large quantities of marijuana and cash.
The student was arrested at 7:30 p.m. on the seventh floor of the freshman residence hall after a GW housing staff member found $777, glass pipes, scales, small Ziplock bags and marijuana, according to a Metropolitan Police Department report.
Sheila Miller, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, said that no charges have currently been filed against the student.
The freshman is the second student to have been arrested on-campus for a marijuana-related offense this month. A male student was arrested two weeks ago after University Police Department officers discovered him and two other males smoking marijuana in Kogan Plaza.
