Associate Vice President for Advancement Eugene Finn will be leaving GW in April to begin working at Kent State University as Vice President for Development, Finn said.
This recent addition to the Kent State faculty is a promotion of their commitment to increased fundraising and consistent financial support for academics.
Finn will run the offices of development including fundraising ventures, alumni relations, scholarships and new faculty. He will also be responsible for Kent State’s Centennial Campaign that will end in 2010 and hopefully achieve the University’s goal of raising $200 million.
At GW, Finn headed similar campaign drives to raise money for the school, including a $100 million scholarship campaign. He also began development of a $1 billion capital campaign.
“I’ve been fortunate to spend 13 wonderful years at GW and I’m looking forward to pursuing this wonderful new opportunity at Kent State,” Finn said.
Finn received his master’s degree from GW.
