Jerry Seinfeld will perform at Colonials Weekend this October, a GW administrator said Thursday.

The comedian made famous from the hit comedy show “Seinfeld” will perform at GW’s parents and alumni weekend festivities, said Robert Chernak, senior vice president for Student and Academic Support Services. Chernak said Seinfeld will perform two shows on Friday October 20 at 7 p.m and 10 p.m.

In previous years comedians including Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Leno, Dana Carvey, Dave Chappelle and last year’s headliner Jon Stewart have come to GW.

Assistant Director of Media Relations Matt Lindsay said the University traditionally negotiates a contract with the performer but he did not say if GW and Seinfeld have reached an agreement yet.
