The GW men’s baseball team’s scheduled game against George Mason University Wednesday was canceled due to rain.

The game has not been rescheduled yet, but there is a possibility the Colonials could play a doubleheader in their next scheduled start against the Patriots April 9.

The Colonials’ next game would be their home opener against Towson University, which is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting. If the game is not played, it may be pushed back to Friday and moved from the Colonials’ home field at Barcroft Park in Arlington to Newport News, Va.

The Colonials will continue their homestand this weekend with a three-game series against Fairfield University, starting with a doubleheader Saturday and a noon game Sunday.
