GW freshman Matt Hane was named men’s tennis Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year last week. Hane, who played No. 1 singles for the Colonials, posted a 12-5 regular season record and also took A-10 All-Conference honors. Hane posted a 9-9 record in doubles play with teammate Kinzie Wright.
GW finished the season fourth in the A-10, posting a 9-12 record. Hane was named A-10 Rookie of the Week April 9 for going 4-0 in matches against St. Bonaventure and Cleveland State University.
